TORN

Ohh… my head, that was all I could say. My heart was beating fast…faster than globacom bolt’s internet service. Was I dreaming… could it be real???? Shade Shade Shade is that you? Why shade…why? I looked around the small room…the brown leather chair we bought last year December was still there…so was the silk bed sheet he bought on valentine’s day? Wale, how could you?

 It all started in February 2008, “ Good evening miss… can I help you?”…he asked. His voice, deep and very manly… He stood about 6ft 2inches tall, beautiful brown eyes, dark and definitely straight from my dreams. I was shopping with my friends at city mall ,onikan, When I spotted him… he was wearing a black suit… his body was from outta space… he had beautiful pink lips….ahhhhhhh…. “oh hi,” I said. “I am Ola…Olanike Daniels. You look familiar, have we met before?” …he smiled and said “no I don’t  think so,but  I’d like to get to know you… hi, am wale adeniyi”… And that was it, the beginning of a love affair. We were the perfect couple… the perfect pair. Wale thought me a lot of things…gave me all the things I desired. To me, he was the perfect man…my perfect man. Things started to heat up when wale asked me to marry him…ahhhh … it was a beautiful experience. He made me feel like a queen…like he owned the world and he was ready give it to me…

“wale , how could you do this to me… what did I do? Why wale…why…”. All I could think of were the seven abortions I had… my grand-fathers land that I sold to sponsor his masters degree in the UK… How did I become the fool?  How? Why did I not notice? I met shade last year at the Owade’s end of the year party… wale told me she was his cousin. That explained why they had the same surname… Adeniyi.  Shade graduated from unilag and was at that time searching for a job… as a good sister in law to-be,I generously offered her a job at my late dads firm…after al… jones n jones ltd needed a general manager.  Shade and I became instant friends… we were so close,I asked her to be my chief brides maid. She gladly accepted….

So how,  why???? Too many questions running through my mind… what is shade doing in my fiancés bed?WHAT DO YOU THINK WAS GOING ON? WHAT ARE THE SIGNS A WOMAN SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR?
